So far so good on the debate front. Kerry creamed Bush last week. The Edwards/Cheney debate was a wash ... but VP debates don't really matter anyway.

It will be interesting to see what happens Tuesday. Bush wants to stock the audience with his supporters so they'll cheer and clap on cue to punctuate his empty speeches. Bleh!

darklis:
Is he also going to have female members of the audience fling their panties at him, so he will appear more of a sex symbol than John Kerry? biggrin P.S Change your gitch once in a while, fella.

Ouchiola. Were you riding the bike drunk? I am dying to see the new Tracey Ullman. She's my goddess. That taxi driver skit she does never loses its charm for me.
cest_la_mae:
Maybe she's acting...
Genius !
Thank You!

There's that George Carlin monologue about how having a pet is commiting yourself to a tragedy.
Enjoy each other in the time you're given.
Way to cheer me up btw...
wink

have you ever heard of an urban exploration group called Dark Passage? a lot of the buildings they used to do explorations in were abandoned mental wards. they ended up deciding they were modern-day equivalents of torture chambers. having worked in the mental health field on a VERY low level, i can assure you not much has changed from the days of "titicut follies."

Ann Arbor has changed a little since you left. Whole Foods moved from its old location on Washtenaw to the corner of Washtenaw and Huron Parkway (along with a big new Barnes & Noble bookstore that has been there longer). Both stores are just huge now. I haven't been in the new Whole Foods yet, because I am lacking in funds, but I can just imagine that it is fantastic.

I have heard that the air quality in Los Angeles is poor in light of all of the cars, smokestacks and smog. I have a dust allergy and I wonder whether that would affect me there. People say the same thing about New York City in terms of it being dirty, although I don't know whether that has changed recently.

I would be disappointed if I couldn't listen to NPR news and talk. I listen to Michigan Radio all of the time. Air America started a station in Ann Arbor (1290 AM), but I can't pick it up where I'm living now. If I can generate any decent money, I might just buy a Sirius satellite radio setup.

Yeah. That is why I like Chicago, because of all of the museums, sporting events and culture. I grew up near there and have been there several times. I might end of moving there someday but, then again, the cost of living is high there, too. I wouldn't mind living in Ann Arbor, either. I did live there in an apartment near the mall briefly. Rent and real estate are very expensive there, though, too.

What a beautiful soliloquy to roadkill. skull

Yeah, Bush has really screwed up Michigan, as far as manufacturing jobs go, among other things. It doesn't surprise me that it's solid blue. smile

$1,000 in repairs? What's wrong with your car? shocked
holden_caulfield:
Both points do not surprise me. frown
