so, i have decided to join the ranks of the employed. not a decision to be taken lightly, and actually something i'm beginning to dread...i haven't had a job in over 5 years. well. being a mom is a job, and a hard one, actually, but i don't get paid much in the way of actual dollars. i digress. if i find a job that pays enough, it'll be worth it. (child care is expensive) if someone wants to offer me $8 an hour, then i shall remain in early retirement.
what can a woman with my dubious skills get for reasonable employment in this rinky-dink town, you ask? not very friggin' much. and do i really want to commute AT LEAST an hour in one direction just to get paid barely over minimum? would that even cover my gas expenses?
*sigh*

O i will still put the car on the road now, the thing i will sacrifice if i must is the air con. I really will try to make it happen though. I will do the V6 swap eventually, but i just need a car on the road as soon as i can do it, so i'm using what i have. All the brakes etc will be overkill coz they suit a v6 car, but that saves me redoing them later
