if you put clear coat over a flat colour it makes it look glossy. By mixing them it gives the top coat the strength of a clear coat without the gloss

O i will still put the car on the road now, the thing i will sacrifice if i must is the air con. I really will try to make it happen though. I will do the V6 swap eventually, but i just need a car on the road as soon as i can do it, so i'm using what i have. umm, its the result of an amazing amount of panel work and fantastic paint. Take a look in my 'transport' gallery, there is another pic of the same car and it is reflecting the sky in the tailgate in that shot. It is black, but its so smooth and shiny it's like a mirror. It is an amazing finish, but i did pay almost 14 thousand dollars for it, so i'm happy it makes minds explode trying to figure out how it looks so good
