well happy april sg land hope no one took too brutal a april fools joke out there......on a serious note today is the 35th aniversary of the super outbreak of 1974 over 100 tornadoes over a 36 hour period from the mississipi river to the great lakes to the atlantic ocean to the gulf coast .i was 9 years old at the time living in one of the worst hit towns of brandenburg ky 36 died and hundreds injured in a town at the time of less than 2000.in my case i was living in the on third of the town not directly hit but the sound of silence just before then the radio announcer saying it is coming just before the signal went dead(the radio station was the first building to take a direct hit)then the 30 to 45 seconds of noise(yes it does sound like a freight train)then silence again.it is a day i will never forget ever.
