Well, at the risk of sounding cold... I would sooner have my dad move in with me. I don't think that (considering the State provided and insurance provided medical assistance available) the responsibility rests on you to drop your life to take care of your father. His wife could get a license, and or a car. Quite frankly, you have obligations where you are. I say this, and I am VERY close with my folks, not knowing your situation, other than the 3 year seperation, so maybe you see that you aren't the bad girl for not ending your program to assist. Does he need it? Sure. However, he has many options besides the convenience of securing your freedom, emotions, time and life.
