In recent years theres been a minor surge of interest in Khorshids music in the West, but the music has been somewhat hard to come by. One of his most notable fans is Sun City Girls founder and eminently venerable guitarist Sir Richard Bishop. Bishops last album, The Freak of Araby, with its eccentric surf guitar along the Nile sound, bears Khorshids unmistakable (and thoroughly acknowledged) influence.
