Well, I missed the RocK On The Range Concert this weekend. This trip to Colombia better be worth it. I was passing by the stadium Sunday night when I heard Soundgarden playing and I could feel that stinging in the eyes... BUSH! I fucking missed Bush!

So, I leave this Saturday for Colombia. I'm going to have a layover a few hours long, in Panama....

Thanks for the reply on my blog a while ago. I always look forward to your insight on those sorts of things. No crushes will be moving in with me. To many potential problems there. As for my ex and current friend who knows. Ill be conflicted for a while. Thanks though.

Chom ba chom ba chui chom, ba chui chui chom!!!

Honestly, I have no idea what to put here. Actually, I hate starting these things out like that, I just thought it worthwhile to just have an update... but everything's been pretty status fucking quo. No new tattoos... no new things. Oh, finished my finals last week. I guess THAT'S new. Saw the wife on...

Thank you and exactly. He gave me the opposite impression, he said and I quote 'if you're together, you're together. I don't play games or have rules'. I mean...I took that to be that we were a couple. And also discussed it in our drunken state on Saturday night. My fault was taking everything we discussed to heart instead of just realising it was a bit of over exaggerated drunk banter. Since discussing it further, we have established that we 'are' a couple. We are just going to give it a few more weeks before we announce it smile I was riled up and so was he, doesn't make for good talking initially!

bb im sorry, i now i have been away, but please dont take it personal, you know how bussy is my life frown never mind, im going to see you really soon!!!!!

Hmmm... where to start? Or hell, even what to say for that matter...

I'm kind of sick, which rather sucks because I have my big trip coming up soon. Nothing really serious, just coughing a lot. I coughed so much and so hard on Friday that I lost my voice. I'm slowly starting to get it back though. I can assure you, anyone that knows...

Loving those "Who's That Girl?" lyrics. smile

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

I can't actually remember that much about Who's That Girl?, apart from Madonna, Griffin Dunne and a big cat. I just remember that I saw it when I was 7 or something and didn't think much of Madonna's acting skills. Yup, I started picking up on bad acting from an early age. smile

I just checked on Google Maps and you're right about Colombia being "the hair tie that connects the ponytail of Panama and Central America to the head of South America. Panama does kinda look like a ponytail. biggrin
I didn't quite give the double thumbs up to the wall, but I did smile when I realised why you'd described it the way you did. smile

That sounds like a great idea, about immigrants being granted citizenship if they serve 4 years in the US military. Just my own opinion though...

You're right about Duran Duran and INXS releasing great albums in the 90's, I kinda lumped them in with the bands who get better with age. smile
Paul McCartney... I was never a Beatles fan and that was because of Paul McCartney.
I get annoyed when people always go on about the "amazing song writing duo of Lennon and McCartney". Personally I think Lennon did most of the work and McCartney added the occasional lyric and took half the credit for the songs...
If McCartney was such a talented songwriter, how come he wrote shit like The Frog Chorus, Say Say Say, Pipes of Peace, Wonderful Christmas Time and other such atrocities?
It's like the amazing songwriting team of Simon and Garfunkel... Bullshit! It was clearly all Simon, because look at the solo career he's had compared to Garfunkel and both Garfunkel's hit solo singles were written for him!
*gets off soap box*

I debated having Firestarter, on that blog, but I always preferred Breathe. Will probably include it on my next blog, with some more classic Prodigy songs. Ha! I can't believe people never realised he was singing "Psychosomatic addict insane"...
I can't say I've heard of Mazzy Star and Poe, I guess they never quite made it into the UK charts... surreal

themainman:
Thanks for sharing those music videos. biggrin

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Unfortunately the first one wouldn't play. It said "The uploader has not made this video available in your country". D'oh!
The other songs were great, really good cover of Wild Horses by The Sundays. The only cover of Wild Horses I'd heard before this one was Susan Boyle's cover. This one was far better! biggrin

I can imagine they thought you were insane when you did the hardcore dancing to Firestarter, especially since they'd never seen you acting like that before.
I can't say I've heard a song that makes me want to destroy anything yet, but that's probably because I know I'd have to clean it up afterwards...
I'm intrigued by the Rusty Fish Hook term you coined...

I haven't seen all of Body of Evidence, I think I saw the second half of it, so it didn't make much sense. She got naked though, so that was good enough for me. smile

I strongly agree with your thoughts on making military service mandatory and I also think that some of your ideas would help people better themselves.
Have you considered a career in politics?
I understand what you mean about people that haven't traveled anywhere in their lives. There's a few folk like that here, they've never left Shetland because they think there's enough to see and do here...
What a crock of shit! My opinion is: get off your dumb ass and see the world before you die for Christ sakes!

I forgot about Live and Let Die, I was too busy ranting about the shit songs he's churned out over the years, I forgot the one good song... He definitely shot his load on that song, which of course lead to the amazing Guns 'N' Roses cover.
Sounds like an awesome costume, I bet it went down a storm at the party! biggrin

Ok, well, yesterday I spent a good amount of time in my tattooist's chair, working on my backpiece. Which is funny, because as I looked down at it, I'd realized that I've seriously spent about 60 hours getting ink driven into my skin, while in THAT chair. Haha, that's actual ink in skin time... case in point, I have a piece on my right forearm...

Well, it's that time again. Just throwing up some things to update.

Last week, I sat through another session on my backpiece. I wanted to get it done before my birthday on the 29th of next month... but I don't think it's going to happen. Especially when we're not even close to being done, my last session is next Friday and my tatooist is booked...

Happy April Fool's! Were I to have a prank... if only.

Ok, so now Lent is over... although, I think I've gotten to the point that I'm over carbonated non alcoholic beverages in general, so I probably won't be going back, despite that I only gave it up for Lent. Haven't really gambled all that much lately either... which IS the source of my name...

Well, I saw that I was in fact in desperate need of updating this. What better day than the Ides Of March? Et tu Brut?

Anyhow, pretty much the same as last one, there's so much to talk about, but right now, I really don't have that much. Few things are jumping out at me. I do know however, that at the current moment, sleep...

Well... firstly, I'm glad to say that we're all here on account of what was supposed to happen last night.

Hmm... where to start. I always want to update this, but I often feel as though I don't really have much to say, but then so much time goes by that it rather piles up and then it just becomes embarrassing. Especially as I begin...

Firstly, Happy Veteran's Day to everyone... and if you've served, then kudos to you. It's funny, I never actually went and got the free meals at restaurants or anything for Veteran's Day. I won't say it's because I don't want to take advantage or anything, more so, that I just really never got the chance.

Annnnnnnnnd in the spirit of the day, a photo of...

Monica Bellucci is always a good thing smile
bakuto:
Haha, I agree. ALWAYS. It's funny, both her and Vincent Cassel are rather close to the top of my favorite actors list, as they were both in one of my favorite movies L'Appartement, though I actually didn't know they were married until two months ago... guess I dropped the ball on that one. Just thought that was funny.

Anyhow, the book is HUGE. I remember wanting to pre-order it but when it came out, it was like $230... but after a couple years, I scored it brand new, shrink-wrapped and all, for like $35.
