we each flew to washington and met in the airport. got embarassed to be making out and got too scared to bang in the not-so-hidden room we found. as adam was trying to convince me it would be okay, some dude walked in. so, yeah...good thing we werent doing it. our flight to brussels was delayed two hours. i was way excited to be flying.
the weather was actually really awesome. it didnt rain, but was fucking muddy.
there were vendors all around the race selling the belgian equivalent of carnival food. and then we stumbled upon this....best. ever.
cold gummies are hard to chew.
ummm...why is there mayonaise on my french fries? silly belgians.
mighty windmill at the course. it would have been way cooler if the racers had to dodge the blades and go through the windmill like in mini-golf. alas, they just rode by.
american rider jonathan page got second in the elite mens race. he was superclose to winning. we were excited during the medal ceremony. apparently the king of belgium was there, but it was hard to figure out which one of the dudes he was. he should have been wearing a fur lined cape and his crown so i could figure it out.
they actually paid someone money for these stupid shrubs.
adam was very excited about his belgian beer. yum!
i tried to take a photo of us, but adam decided he wanted to be a sad clown.
i tried again. and apparently failed.
