Thinks I've learnt this week - pink t-shirt = fanny magnet
I'm obviously going to have to rethink my entire wardrobe now....
Watched Deathproof last night; I'm a big fan of Tarantino (though I can understand why endless retro nonsense and pop culture references can be a bit grating) and was cheesed off when Grindhouse was pulled from UK release (I love Rodriguez too, so I would have been a pig in shit). Odd situation (which happens more often than you'd think) that the DVD is out in the states before the film comes out in the UK. I'm of the opinion that as much as I love going to the cinema, it can be quite costly (especially in London; two tickets, babysitter, coke and popcorn - you're not going to see much change out of 40) so if something is out on R1, I'm more than happy to turn off the lights and snuggle up on the sofa with it (three cheers for the internet making buying stuff from the states a doddle).
The flim itself? I loved it... I've got a similar fan boy sensibility, so get a buzz out of picking out all the in jokes, references, etc. If you like Tarantino movies, especially Resevoir Dogs (which this reminded me of; because of lots of talking - it's got a low budget indie flick vibe that Kill Bill didn't), you'll enjoy it.
Being a nerd I've also been tweaking my mobile phone skins... so *taa-da
