I really can't believe it's been so long! It's been a weird few months, hence the lack of updates (busy panda was busy...).
A lot of the ace things that have happened are worthy of posts themselves, so over the next few days I might do a few photo diary updates to try and cover some of what's happened. Things like:
*Graduating my Masters with Distinction
*Mine and Sam's amazing holiday to the Lake District to celebrate
*My week visiting Sam's home town (which involved us visiting Llanberis, Wales - he lives near(ish) the border)
*Sam's triumphant return to the North
And of course, lots of hikes
So at a glance, here are a few of the basics as to how my life's going right now...
Love
Things are still pretty amazing between me and Sam (there's even talk of the future(!)) - things might be slowing down a little as of today thanks to work schedules clashing, but otherwise we're very happy
That Ex
Things are still weird with P - we're basically best friends at this point, but him announcing he's seeing someone at the moment got me a little jealous so we've agreed that we're going to avoid talking about love stuff, at least for a bit. We're theoretically going for a post-work pint together every Monday in October so if any drama is going to kick off, I guess that'll be the time
But other than that, we're ok - we spent 12 hours together last month (the longest since we broke up) drinking and exploring Manchester and other than the awkward jealousy thing (which we dealt with there and then) there was no drama, so that was good.
Work
I'm still working at the pub, which is becoming increasingly annoying as they're cracking down on time off... right when I need time off. I love working there and I don't want to leave them in the lurch, but I'm kinda tempted to leave in December (assuming I have enough money)).
I'm also going back to teaching in October (hence mine and P's October Mondays (he works in the same city as the med school I work at), so I'm simultaneously nervous and excited for that
Degree
I'm just waiting for January to start so I can begin my PhD! I went to Manchester on Tuesday for a welcome reception for people receiving my second scholarship and so spent the day surrounded by people who were getting their teeth into their research already - it's made me more than a little antsy to get started! That said, I've still not got round to picking up a textbook just yet, so I can't be that motivated right now after all
Otherwise, I'm still in Yorkshire, still a panda (moreso this weekend at the fancy dress party...), and currently full of cold and tea.
