Hello gorgeous guys and girls!
I hope you're all good and that April has been treating you well (bar the weather, obv _)
I'm a smiley panda at the moment
Even though my degree is kicking my ass something rotten, I'm still in a very good mood: my weight loss means I'm starting to feel confident in my own skin again (especially now I can get into my old skinny jeans again!
), I'm aware just how lucky I am to have such an awesome set of friends, I've made a new friend who is pretty much the funniest guy I've ever met (we went for a drink yesterday after work/uni and he made me laugh so hard I hyperventilated
), and there are gigs aplenty at the minute!
Paradise Lost were amazing last Tuesday (as were Vreid and Insomnium (their support)), I'm excited about Primordial a week tomorrow (though I'm a bit scared: I have people to stand with while I'm there, but then I have to get home from Manchester in the middle of the night... eek!) and Code have confirmed they're to support Aura Noir at Camden Underworld
Now I'm a massive Code fangirl, but I'm not sure about going to their gig: first of all I need to book it off work (assuming it's not already overbooked for holidays), buy train tickets, find somewhere to sleep, and even if I get all of that sorted, my Ex will be there (in fact he's the one who informed me :p). He's a great guy, there are few people more awesome than he, but I haven't seen the guy for nearly 2 years (and we were together 6yrs before that) so I'm a bit nervous at the prospect of seeing him again >.<
That being said, it might all be ok, in which case (if I can sort the other things out), I'll be at Code's first UK gig since 07 with frickin bells on
In other news, my friends and I have accidentally invented a film club: we now make a point of going to the cinema on Wednesdays and if something looks ace, we'll go see that, but if nothing stands out, then the priority will be for films that look shit
For instance, next up is Lockout, the trailer for which has the ability to reduce us all, including the lads, to fits of giggles. So excited
Anyway, I'm rambling on (and am actually supposed to be writing an essay right now...
) - at any rate, hope you all have an ace week
