Happy Sunday!
Im feelin so warm and fuzzy today thanks to a certain someone! Anywho... the question of the day and maybe tomorrow and the day after that...
Have you ever met a rock star? If not what was the closest you ever got to one? Ok an actress or something if not a rock star.. someone famous...
Rephrase.. have you ever met or had an encounter with someone famous?
I have had a few experiences.. here is my two cents..
Once at Vincent's in Lil Italy, Jeff Goldblum (the fly, jurasic park) was also at the resturant eating! I was young and I kept expecting him to morph into a slimey gross insect..that I couldnt eat my pasta!
Once..well the first time I saw Willie Nelson in concert, I just had to get closer.. we had lawn seats.. I was 13, I conjured up some bullshit story about how my grandma was in the front and needed me to help her out before the crowd pummeled her and they let me thru.. (divine intervention really) .. I got to the front.. and he was interacting w/ the crowd and I said to him at the top of my lungs.. WILLIE YOUR HAIR IS A MESS.. and he reached out into the crowd and subsequently messed up my hair in return (awwwwwwww)...
I went to a meatloaf concert at the old Club Bene and he was rockin on and he sweat on me during a preformance.. I moved back as a result.
When I was 25, I took my mother to see Smokie fuckin Robinson (thought id creme my pants by the way everytime he opened his mouth) and I swear to God he sang to me...a debate that continues through today between me and mom.. anyway.. if you had his book, he would sign it for you so .. spring chicken that I was.. I ran my ass all the way to the casino gift shop, bought the book...high tailed it back. .only to find we missed the chance.. but for the bouncer who thought one of us was cute.. decided we could go up to his reception room and have it signed.. OMG.. we were in his ROOM.. I sat on his bed.. it was my turn to meet him.. and I was a wreck!!
Smiles, hugs, tears, and one signature later.. I was a happy girl!
I worked at a bar once upon a time and met and sang with the original bandmate from Bill Haley and The Comets a one Bill Turner...(who the fuck is bill haley and the comets? rock around the clock.. the theme to happy days..)
Recently.. I had an encounter, up close and personal with the bass player from Staind. Like a year or so ago it was.. Johnny "old school" April and I chatted in the same net circle..and he and I got to be buds and he came over one night when he was in NYC doin a Howard Stern Show, we got high, (he sold my brother some killer weed too)...made out.. (dumb of me I might add).. and I sent him back to his suite with blue balls.. LOL...I knew all about his sugar daddy attitude... and didnt want to be a notch on his belt.. he asked me to come to the city the next day and hang out with him but I know what his idea of that was by then and politley declined LOL.. was the last I heard of him!
I dont think you can count the countless "famous" - "world renound" Elvis Impersonaters Ive met so I will leave them out~

Speeaking of SugarRay, I did one of their first radio interviews in the area. Then they became rock stars. Coincidence?
... of course.
Actually I've been priveleged to interview a bunch of cool famous and semi-famous people: Jimmy from Murphy's Law, the guys from Clutch (who are awesome), H20, Raybeez from Warzone before he passed away.
I met Lars Ulrich at L'Amour way back when. Next...
Jerry Only from the Misfits. Nice guy.
I used to hang out with Biohazard and drink with Johnny Kelly from Type-O.
Richie Sambora & Heather Locklear are nice folks.
Oh and I knocked Hugh Jackman on his ass inadvertantly on 46th St. He was ok but his security guys got all uppity.
Howzzat?
