I took the CPAT test last Saturday for the Franklin Fire Department and it whipped my ass. I was totally unprepared.
Someone in the Emergency Services group said the "stair machine is a BIIIOOOOOTCCCHHHHH!!!!!!! " That is an understatement. I made it 3:01 and collapsed, so I didn't even get a feel for the rest of the course. I really thought I was in better shape than that. The seventy five pounds made more of a difference than I thought, it didn't feel like that much weight. I have about a month to prepare for the re-take. I guess I'll be doing lots of cardio.
Just another reason to get in shape besides the 10 year reunion and trying to look good naked. (Not all of us can have six packs into our 30's) Oh wait, I never had one.
