Deduction vs. Induction: The Cage Match. A ferociously gorgeous woman that knows I want to get with her has been cryptic to say the least. I have induced that she's not interested in me. Why else would she stop talking to me after about four weeks of steady talking and a good bit of buildup? However, I have deduced the following: Going for coffee is associated with good conversation, people who accept invitations for coffee are interested in having a good conversation, since I enjoy conversation and like coffee I asked Lisa to go out for coffee to see if she was compatible, Lisa accepted at first THEN later declined, people who accept invitations for going out for coffee are interested in actually going, people who are interested in actually going to coffee with me are interested in me. Therefore, Lisa is interested in me.
