tuesday. eleven fifty-seven pm.
went up to decatur/huntsville this weekend for khoe dhee and holly's wedding. it was scary/stressful/beautiful. i'm sure i could think of some more adjectives to describe the experience, but i'll stop there.
xtopher had to work until twelve on friday, so we had to scramble our asses off to get to the rehearsal by five. needless to say, we didn't. we were about an hour late, although khoe dhee assured us that he had gotten there just minutes before we had. still, they started without us. oh well. it's not like xtopher was the best man or anything. ha ha. oh wait.
we had dinner at holly's parents house. where the jimmy buffet plays long into the night and the jack daniels flows like wine. the other two groomsmen decided to flake out on khoe dhee and not give him a bachelor party. rargh. i really wanted to kick some ass. i would have settled for seeing strippers instead. i mean, i did cash in my credit apps for ones just for this momentus occasion! alas, we did not venture to the 'hoochie bar' as holly's father so eloquently puts it. sigh.
the ceremony was beautiful. it was well worth the trip. although i do get a slighty disconcerting feeling about the city of huntsville on a whole...i have a feeling that if i took a helicopter and flew over the city i may see a burning pentagram in the center of the city. maybe that's just me?
