Here we are, almost the end of july....
Our trip to NY was so much fun. We really didn't do much but hang out with my family. My Dad took us to the glass musium where we all made some really cool glass frames, wind chimes, sculptures and pendants. It was really interesting. I grew up in a town that produces glass products and never played with the stuff until now. Growing up, the gaffers (folks that work with and blow molten glass) made it look easy, it's not. If you don't pay attention, you have molten glass at 2000 degrees F oozing all over.
Mary and I are trying to create pendants with a 4000 degree F torch.
We wached the fourth of July fireworks from one of the bridges in Corning. It was an excellent place to wach from, perfect view.
We finally started to grow our Chia pets. Yes, I said CHIA! When you've stopped laughing, read on.
Lizzie has Bart Simpson Chia and Bridget has Kung Fu Panda Chia. They've really started taking off, they grow fast. I started a little herb garden but nothing has sprouted yet. Maybe my thumb isn't as green as I thought. Mary was at her friends last week s, we'll get hers going when she returns.
I've been slowly organizing bits and pieces of my tiny little apartment. It's amazing, every square inch of the place has something on it. There isn't a lot of room so I go from wall to wall trying to organize so it doesn't look too cluttered. I'm not sure it's working.
Can't wait until school starts. It will be interesting to have the girls in two different schools. I'm going to have to find a way to volunteer at both locations. Maybe I can clone myself.. no, that'll take way too long. Oh well...
Hope all is well in your worlds,
See ya in the funny papers!
