HI HO, HI HO, IT'S OFF TO WORK I GO!
My weekend has ended and it's time to hit the restaurant. I love the people I work with and love the customers that come in. Yah, we get those cranky, nasty, cheap, slick assholes that everyone has to deal with but, I really feel sorry for folks that have to act like they're nine years old. For some people, the restaurant is all they have and they have no other outlet, friends or family. It's kind of a cool feeling when you actually listen and pay attention to what they are saying and start to understand who they are. If you take all of three minutes, you have made a new aquaintance and have a customer for life. You don't have to be their best friend and can break off if the conversation gets too long or personal. (because your at work) I look at it as a challenge. This is the job I chose to do, no one forced me into it, so why not make the best of it and have fun.
I took my daughters to see "Pirates: Dead Man's Chest". I supprised them by putting their tickets in three little treasure chests (with the scull and crossbones) then left them on their beds. When they got home, they all were talking about what we were going to do. They all were very excited when they found their presents. Needless to say, we saw the movie and that's all they talked about all weekend. We had a lot of fun.
