Yesterday was the perfect lazy Sunday. After sleeping in until 11:00 or so, we woke up and watched all four episodes of Alton Brown's Feasting on Asphalt, which really needed to be longer than four episodes. We lamented how fun it must be to be Alton, traveling around on your motorcycle and eating at all sorts of food joints across the country. In the middle of our marathon, we made scrambled egg sandwiches on herb cheese bagels and topped with thin slices of amazing salami leftover from Snow Day #1 (also known as the long day of eat and drink).
After such productivity, we considered leaving the house, or even our bathrobes, but instead decided to make beef stew. It turned out extremely delicious, and I thank EnergyChannel for always being the master of the seasoning. Also for having the idea to use bok choy in the stew. Yummy.
And on top of that, he made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Of course, we were so full from the stew that we didn't eat many of them, but don't you worry, faithful readers. They will disappear steadily as the week goes on. As will the gigantic pot of stew currently residing on the top shelf of our fridge.
We stayed up way too late watching downloaded episodes of Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, which is actually turning out to be a pretty decent show. Especially without commercials. Consequently, I'm a tired puppy this morning, and work will likely drag a bit until I can shake off the sleepies.
And tomorrow, I get to finally return to yoga! So excited for that one.
