Like a lot of other Portlanders, I'm a big 'ol weakling when it comes to hot weather. I consider anything over 80 to be hot, and I wilt like a flower when temperatures exceed 80 for more than a couple of days. It is supposed to reach 97 today.
Luckily(?), we will be in the car (with the A/C blasting), driving Elliot back to Seattle. Maybe by the time we get home, it will only be in the 80s again.
Tomorrow should be interesting. I work in an old building, where only a few offices have those window A/C units. Luckily, mine is one of them, but I fear for the health and well-being of the people in non-air-conditioned offices, as well as the health of their computers. Not to mention the poor students attending class in these boiling hot classrooms. They should just cancel all classes and let us go home.
I hope I don't blind people with my extra-white skin. Because tomorrow is definitely a tank top day.
