was up on mt allen in the santa monica mountains over the weekend...about 3200 over the pacific...a bi plane flew over head when we were on the pinnacle and he dipped his wing at us... when things like that happen it makes you remember that it really is in the end about you...

decided today to help build a house on saturday with my friend for habitat for community...i am no way religous..but i do dig jimmy carter who is a big advocate of the program..thought i would try ito do something fulfilling and at the same time help someone...i suck so bad at carpentry though i hope i dont nail my feet to the goddamn roof...

so, unfortunately, you'd have to go down to the Cayman Islands to see those turtles! my parents used to live there, on Grand Cayman, and when i visted them, we went to a turtle farm. they breed turtles there and then release then once they are old enough. it is sooooooooo cool! the young ones are in these HUGE pools and they come up to the side and you can gently pet them and pick up the small ones if you are real careful. it's so funny, if you stroke them underneath their neck, they stop moving and will basically sink of you don't hold them up. it was so neat to be able to go there.
