This Friday is my last day of work. What started as a three month temp job to make a few extra bucks has somehow lasted nearly a year and a half. Even though working there pretty much put a pause sign over the rest of my life, I've loved my time there. I made friends, goofed off, and got paid doing it. Most of all though I was able to spend time with people I would have unfairly avoided. It's refreshing being able to immerse yourself in another culture and way of life, and see how the other end lives.
As much as I enjoyed working there though, I feel my time there has come to an end. This mostly stemmed from a fear of being stuck. I could have easily seen myself working there for years and made a fairly comfortable living (well, comfortable for being in my early twenties). But where's the fun in that?
Big life decisions are going to have to be made once I'm gone, but for right now I'm just excited to get a couple weeks of rest... oh and Comic Con, I'm fucking excited for Comic Con. Hell, I'm more excited than that old video of the kid who got a Nintendo 64.
Being that people call Comic Con nerd prom, I'm gonna try my damned hardest to try to you know, speak to women. Or at the very least not scare them off faster than Lucille Bluth scares off her children.
... I should wear a Lucille Bluth mask.
