Oh man, I think I need to lie down for a moment.
Those of you who know me even just a tiny bit know that I'm a pretty big movie geek. Beyond that I've always been one who strongly supports experiencing a flick in the cinemas, so imagine my dismay upon finding out that the historic Grauman's Chinese Theater in Hollywood has been sold... to nightclub owners. This makes me so sad it's frankly kind of ridiculous. If the Chinese Theater becomes a nightclub, I will be forced to do some ridiculous and nerdy form of rebellion... like buying a long lost film reel of Star Wars before Lucas fucked everything up and burning it.
Anyway, since the sale is closing May 20th, I say what better time than now to take that trip to Los Angeles and see a flick in a historic theater before it's(potentially) gone forever.
In other news(although I guess still movie related) I just saw American Me, which was quite remarkable. It reminded me how fucking awesome Edward James Olmos is.
He's the man
