My old lappy is dying, wireless is blown, some keys are fucked, battery is dead; in other words its just old. Shopping for a new one is always a challange. I'm opening 30+ pages with reviews specs and special offers and compare them, then i'm checking sales, voucher sites and tech forums for the best deal. Finally I usually end up raising my budget to twice my initial plans - and that applies to every single bit of electronics i ever bought.
I was lucky. Somebody on avforums (Thanks again Simon, even if you cant see that) gave me a link with a great offer from Dell, with a voucher code and everything. Of course i bought it.
Now. It might be just me, but i have this thing about waiting for delivery items. I obsess. I checked dozens of forums about dell delivery speed and what i discovered was scary. Apparently, when speed is concerned, Dell sucks big cock. Horrror sotries of people waiting for their stuff for months were to be seen. My delivery date, optimistically set for 4th of next month, seemed to be unattainable!
And!
Suddenly!
UPS delivered my lappy today!
It looks like Dell is not such cock in this regard. Mumbling - "i'm so sorry i ever doubted you" i run to unpack it. Quickly turned it on and discovered.... that my brand new fucking laptop have some new, custom made special effects integrated into the display. Picture says more than a thousand curses.

Yup. It's broken. These black blops are my liquid crystals bleeding all over the place and as you can see i didnt even managed to take that white shit of the keyboard. Dell says they'll send replacement lappy ASAP. I can only hope. I can only hope.
As an afterthought: i must add that i cant really blame Dell for that. Box looks like somebody kicked it or thrown it on a back of a van with too much vigour, so i guess its UPSes fault. But i propably will never know.

Oh well. Shit happens to those who least suspect it. I'll get a new one soon - dell support says.
