WOW!! There is so much to do in Amsterdam. I first place I went to go see was a modern art museum called Stedelijk Museum, there were a lot of short films by a director called Shirin Neshat. She was born in Iran and most of her films are based on a Novel called Woman Without Men. Her films are hauntingly beautiful and are relevant to all woman around the world. In western culture woman enjoy a lot of freedom which we at times take very for granted. I found myself totally captivated by her films and although I had very limited time I was unable to tear myself away from any of her films. I also went to see an amazing exhibition of Rembrant and Caravaggio at the Vincent Van Gogh Museum. Both artist painted in the baroque style and had striking similarities in their work though neither ever met or even saw eachothers paintings. I love Caravaggio as his works are very dark and he uses light to showcase all the dramatic parts of the painting, he is a story teller as well as an artist.I also went on a canal trip in the evening, this city is amazing at night, very romantic.
Tomorrow I will do more touristy stuff, I have to go to Madame Tousardes as well as the Amsterdam Dungeon. I also plan to return to the Vincent Van Gogh Museum to see the permanent exhibition.
When I was in Florence my brother and I went to The Serial Killer Museum. It was incredibly interesting, but as disturbing, after that both of us felt a little unnerved walking around the streets at night. I ended up returning to the Hotel on my own and some guy started following me and trying to flirt with me, I eventually started running away from him as he would not leave me alone, I was really scared for a second! Some of the men in Florence are very hectic, I went to a night club and as soon as I left my brother's side for a few minutes to go to the restroom about 5 different men grabbed me one after the other on the dancefloor, they grab all the girls and embrace them very forcefully, that would never happen at a club back home because they would either be kicked out or have the shit kicked out of them.
Jees I'm tired need to go have a sleep

Look after youself, hun. I remember how lecherous those Mediterranean men were overseas. I had platinum blonde hair back then, & boy, did that drive those fuckers crazy. It used to irritate Lee immensely; every time I stepped out of the house I would be openly harrassed. And they certainly didn't seem to be phased by the fact that I was actually in the (very obvious) company of another man
I dunno, maybe some European women find that intense kind of attention / affection & manhandling of one's derriere flattering or something?! Like you, however, I definitely prefer the more subtle, civilised & gentlemanly approach!!
Seeya back at work on Tuesday!!
