I have been extremely behind on keeping up with my blog. Which just makes it that much harder to write because I feel I have a million and one things to say, all of it is jumbled and it comes out with huge gaps, missing adventures and thoughts.
I'll be posting another tomorrow with pictures, but just to catch up on the last week:
Thursday night I stayed the night at my mom's house for a weekend camping trip. We left Friday morning for Mammoth. For those of you who haven't been to Mammoth, its GORGEOUS. So seclusive, peaceful and relaxing. It was nice to get away for a little while, clear my mind, focus on my writing and just really get in touch with myself. I've had a crazy year with a lot of ups and downs, so its nice to sit in the middle of a forest with my journal and just write whatever comes to my mind. It also forced me to recognize a lot that's been bothering me or stressing me out. And the first step to fixing it is recognizing what it is right? I feel it put me one step in the right direction... and even if it was only a baby step, moving the right way at all is progress.
I came home Sunday evening, partially against my will. I missed home, but I could have used a couple more days of seclusion. Sunday night I stayed with my mom again, skinny dipped that night and slept amazingly. Monday consisted of more swimming, sun bathing and just relaxing.
Last night was my amazingly talented drag-queen's birthday party at the local club. There were amazing performances that night, great music, and a night of dancing. It was a nice "first night out" since coming home from my trip. Good company and good atmosphere, I couldn't ask for more.
Today has been another lazy day. I have a dinner date with a family member tonight. I'm partially looking forward to it, and partially anxious about the whole thing. We have a lot of dirty laundry that needs to be aired out [if you catch my drift], so it will either go really well or be disappointing. I'm just hoping to convey everything in the right way and reach a level of understanding from both parties. Wish me luck!
I look forward to posting a more detailed account of what's been going on with pictures included. Have a good night everyone.
xoxo.
