Just wanted to post a little blog to let you all know what's been happening with me lately. There's been a few changes, almost all of them are awesome amazing, and I figured I'd share!
First thing has been my work recently. My 'normal' person job has been really slow and hasn't given me many hours. Luckily modelling has really started taking off, and enough so that I'm still over budget for this month. I bought some new boots and some clothes, which has been some great retail therapy, and the lifting of the financial stress, even a small amount, has been glorious! It's also been good to practice more often so that when I shoot another set for here, I'll have improved and can show you all my very best!
Another thing that has changed a lot recently is my health. The bad news is my gastroparesis has been getting worse. There are occasionally days where even milk or water make my stomach hurt. I met with a dietician to give me tips on what I should be eating. Besides having to take my new medication to help my stomach process during those tantrum days, I think I've got my diet down. Mainly it's zero/low fibre, low fat unless liquid or I've had my pills, mostly dairy and grains, with fruit smoothies or puree as tolerated. I'm also supposed to keep my red meat intake up as my iron absorption is crap and I can't tolerate veggies at all. I do have to take my meds for the meat or solid fruit as well. I've also got an appointment with a gastroenterologist this week to figure out what other things I should be doing and what sort of future treatment might be necessary. To give some context to the stomach issues, imagine you ate way too much to the point it starts hurting. Now imagine that happened from a glass of milk or water, and didn't stop for an hour. Or when it happened from a small snack sized meal it lasted multiple hours. It's a bit annoying to say the least.
In good health news, I've started physiotherapy for my left knee, which has been dislocating almost daily since New Years. As a bonus from one of the exercises, my ass has started getting way perky! I'm really loving the more visible definition between my ass and thighs. It's also really helped it already after about 4 weeks or so of doing it less often than I'm supposed to (which reminds me, I'm going to have to do it again right after this post). My knee still gets sore and comes out, but the soreness is a bit less often than it used to come out, and it dislocates only once or twice a week when I strain it.
My last major update might be noticeable in the last pic and is made possible by my better finances. I'm moving!! I'm so excited to have my own kitchen and bathroom again, you have no idea! I'm going to be living with my bothfriend and my girlfriend's girlfriend. My only worry is getting the bf to be a bit neater! Well, and I'm going to need the gothiest housewares ever! Thank goodness Halloween season is soon after the move! I'm going to be chucking some house stuff on my wishlist too.
Speaking of Halloween, that reminds me that my birthday and MBE are coming up soon! I've also been invited to speak at the Playground Conference in November about disability, ableism, and sexuality. Some busy times ahead! I've already been spending a lot of time looking at apartments and packing up all my stuff. I'm also thinking about joining the Spooky Box Club and getting my own website soon. I've also got a date set with @doomcookiephoto to shoot another set :D Anyway, I've rambled on quite a lot! Have a great weekend everyone!
