so i come from a really conservitive christian family.. when i was younger i wasnt allowed to have short hair.. wear makeup.. paint my nails.. dye my hair.. and when i wore was always very conservitive before i walked out that front door.. well bad shit happened like a year ago.. i wasnt even allowed home for thanksgiving or christmas last year.. this year they are asking me to have my hair a natural color by thanksgiving.. but if my hair is a natural color shouldnt that be my decision? even though my decisions arent the ones that my dad might want for me, should he still respect that im an individual but still his daughter? i`ve actually been told by him that if i dont LOOK like part of the family obviously i dont want to BE part of the family... it bothers me and i ignore this matter way too much.. im moving to FL in July.. i wanted to make peace before i move but if making peace is to change myself is it really worth it?
