i had a super lame/interesting day driving around town between doctors offices. sooooo, last night my eye started hurting (it was red and kept watering), so i took my contacts out and went to bed early. this morning, my eye was crusted shut, still red, and super swollen. so i got an appointment with my doctors because i just assumed it was some sort of pink eye... NOPE. i went in and he was like, "you shouldn't be so light sensitive or in pain. so he numbed my eye and put dye in it and found a scratch on my cornea. but he was like, "i can't treat you though. for some reason, your eye is bright red, and that's not something a scratch would do to you."
so they call this other place (which i had called in the morning and they said they didn't have time to see me) and made an appointment for a little later in the day... i went there and they told me that i shouldn't be driving because my glasses are definitely not up to date, and my vision is worse than the law requires. whatever. then they tell me that it's not just a scratch... i also have an infection... and the inflammation is waaaay too intense for both the scratch and the infection. so they called in my prescription (which cost fucking $35 for eyedrops, on top of 2 $20 copays, and another copay tomorrow)... and i have to do my drops every 15 minutes for two hours, then while i'm awake, once every hour, and when i'm sleeping, once every two hours. wtf? this is so i can go back tomorrow, they can check to see if some of the swelling has gone down, and then start me on the steriods.
FUCK MY LIFE.
