Bet you didn't think you'd hear from me this soon!
I am learning very quickly not to trust people and what they say. Supposedly, I was given back a puppy up to date on all her medical. Clearly, I was not, as she never received her second leptovirus, or her rabies shot. And to top it all off, she came back with worms, and has now successfully infested the rest of the dogs. Whee! I know, I know, "fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me." Surely I should have known better than to take someone at their word, and I should have made an appointment to have her vetted immediately, and I should have wormed her ass the instant she walked through the door. Hindsight, my friends. However, I'm making a list of thing to do for all returned dogs. It didn't help, in this case, that it took the previous owner 9 days to return to me the shot records and all the other things she's required to relinquish when she did the dog. The worms suck, they make a lot of extra work around here, but they're not the end of the world. I regularly use heartworm, which helps, and I just wormed them all with the stuff I use on the puppies and will do so again in 10 days. Sometimes, a healthy distrust of people is, well, healthy.
Molly is fine, quite the pain in the ass, actually. She refuses to stay in the 3 season room (the accommodations are unacceptable to her), and so is in a smaller crate in the house, next to her brother. Initially, Jabba told her to GTFO, but now he idolizes his big sister. His big sister, however, has become quite comfortable here, and wishes her brother would die a slow and painful death. Same for her sister Padme, Simone, and the BozCat. The only things she's decided are acceptable to live (aka, she's afraid of) are the Old Man Doob-dog, and the Old Bastard Finn. The Old Bastard Finn promptly informed her that he had no tolerance for her bullshit and that she would behave herself or he would gut her like a fish. She agreed to his terms. Her ear looks okay. It will obviously never be right again, what with the missing portion of it and all, but if it heals well, I would like to avoid having surgery done to remove the flap. If it doesn't, then I'll do it, of course. She's currently sleeping on it, and it has a healthy scab going, so it can't bother her that much. It does look much like hamburger attached to her though.
This house shit is stressing me out hella much. Some of it is just too confusing. It's tiring. I need a vacation from all of this.
The Jeep tried to kill me twice tonight. It goes back to the mechanic tomorrow, and if he can't stop her homicidal tendencies, then I'm taking her out back and shooting her. It was extremely scary, and I do not approve.
A family is coming to look at Padme tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully they take her. She has to stay through the 18th, for medical shit, but after that, buh-bye monster. Jabba will be heart broken. I will not be.
