So I was right, the Metallica show pretty much kicked ass. Their new CD is surprisingly good as well. I have still yet to pay to listen to anything St. Anger related. Well, except for the DVD they did about the making of it. That was pretty interesting. Gearing up for the show, a new found respect for Load and Reload was found. I remember hearing about these two CDs when they came out and all the negative press etc. I bought them to complete my collection soon after Reload came out. I never really listened past the first few tracks. While it is more bluesy and not as thrash, I think it is quite good. I just mentally file it away as some other band and not Metallica because they, to me, will always be thrash/speed metal.
