Wow it was cold today. Now I live in a desert, just read my previous posts and you'll see what I am used to. Yes I was born in N. Dakota, and yes it is cold there, but I moved away from there back in 1986. I haven't been back during the winter time in about 20 years and that was when I was 5 going on 6. I don't really have any memory of the extreme coldness. Flashforward to this morning, it was 34degrees or so. Now I am used to 115 or 116 degrees. I can handle that. I hate it but I can handle it. I love it when it gets cold out, but damn, I wasn't used to it this morning. I guess it is all realitive. Anybody from up north or back east is probably thinking I am crazy. But I tell you, when it gets cold and your blood has been thinned out due to the high heat, it gets you. Oh well, I better enjoy it while I can. Before I know it, it will be 112 degrees outside again and I'll be praying for this kind of weather. Plus it also sets the mood for Christmas time. I hate it when it is warm during Christmas, it ruins it. All the transplants from the cold regions love it, but that is because they are coming from frigid weather and want to be somewhere mild. Anyway, end of my weather rant.
