it's the beer and hot dogs update. first off, a recap of the weekend.
i saw two new movies this weekend. the first was charlie and the chocolate factory, which was amazing as expected. tim burton's visuals and twisted humor coupled with johnny depp's beautiful face and in-character acting [rare these days that actors don't just play themselves in every movie] made this one a winner. deep roy was creepy as fuck playing all the oompa loompas. also, what kind of made the movie for me was seeing the stupid mom in the row in front of me having to comfort her three year old daughter who was crying because she got frightened. needless to say, it's not one for small children.
the second movie was the wedding crashers, which was extremely funny, because, well, you see vince vaughn and owen wilson at their funniest in recent history, even if they are just playing the same roles they always do. it's even more crude and daring than old school, but in a very good way. the jokes work, but will ferrel's little cameo role sucks ass. slightly funny, but again, he's just playing himself, again, as the loud-mouthed jackass.
anyways, got to see my sister christy and not-so-little-anymore brother isaac today. we saw wedding crashers together, and it was the first time i've seen isaac in almost a year. he's 16 now, and has grown A LOT. makes me miss the other kids so much more, not getting to see them all.
finally, in other news, i'm moving. kind of. the phantom roommate is moving out at the end of the month, and i'm taking over her room, which is notably larger than my current one. the rent is a little more, but i can well afford it, and i'm tired of my room being so messy because there is no space to organise with. i plan to buy bookshelves, a new bed, maybe replace this old stupid desk, etcetera etcetera. should be fun.
other than that, i'm off to bed soon to be at work early tomorrow, and next week is inventory, so that should be lame. nothing else to report.
stay in school kids.
