Today I got headbutted by a horse at work and almost broke my nose. Blood everywhere. OUCH!
My riding is going great though, after over ten years of riding classical style I have switched over to western and it's the best fun and feels a lot more natural. I've just started wearing spurs too, I was always against them because I thought they were cruel but when used properly they allow you to perform high level movements much easier and with much more subtle leg movement. I'm hooked! It's a great change since the horse I ride is sometimes really lazy and it's nice to be able to focus on form without having to constantly push for forward movement.
I'm going into town to have a coffee and cake tomorrow. It doesn't sound like a big deal, but when you live in isolation, any outing is a special one
