I was taking pictures on a farm a couple of days ago, for a story on rising milk prices, and I got pooped on by a cow!!

My last toy for a while just arrived: a 24mm/f1.8 lens, made by Sigma. The fact that such a fast, wide lens exists for so cheap kind of blows my mind. And it seems to compare favorably to similar Canon L lenses in tests that cost about 5 times as much. Unfortunately, with the crop factor, it's more like a much less impressive 36 for digital. I look forward to the day when full-frame sensors come down into a reasonable price range - that crop factor business blows.

I just bought my sigma from this retailer. Saved $50 and no problems. They'll save you $100 on that zoom.
