Hello happy SG world it has been a long time since I've spit anything out here, but here I am. Jesus tapdancing Christ it sure is tough being the only person in the photographic department at a daily newspaper! Between that and the upcoming gallery stuff I am shooting for, it seems like my head is always in my camera. (Better than it being up my ass, I suppose, although sometimes I'm not so sure...)
One nice thing- my profile picture is no longer an abstract nude, nor do I look like a heaving geek like the last quickie shot of myself I took. That's what I get for taking some snaps after a 12 hour workday...
Another new thing- I've got a folder of pix that I'll soon be taking down at the club to make way for the new work for Gallery Night! (Plug, plug-for all you Milwaukeeans-July 23rd 722 Milwaukkee St. at three free wine food and....me! how exciting....
)
I have been especially fruitful lately and even had a great late night photo shoot taking snaps of wet pavement, which was difficult and uncomfortable but quite successful. I'm doing some nudes this weekend, provided my models don't punk out on me, and it's simply amazing how willing people are to strip for me in front of the camera. Ah, to be an artist...it is very good, indeed.
Even took the time to go to Summerfest this year, on the last day, no less, and thanks to my rowdy southern cousin and a handful of shrooms, I had a blast. Gosh, I thought people were funny looking normally....as you can imagine, the people watching was outstanding and the music was pretty good, too. The best deal in that whole park is the skyglider, because for $2.50, you can ride over the entirety of the park and catch what's happening at each of the stages. A nice overview of the different bands, and a great way for the indesicive to figure out which stage to go to next.
Well, I'm off like a prom dress- I've got pictures to edit. TTFN! (tah tah for now)
