OK got a couple pretty sweet things to share with all/any of u who see this : )
1) this past Saturday i went to see Dragonforce at the 9:30 Club in DC, and it was super kick ass. Both the opening bands were awesome, and of course Dragonforce was amazing (tight as shit those dudes are.) And if that weren't enough to be awesome, after the show me and the people i was with (the group was me, my girlfriend Shell, my lil bro Greg, my buddy Tommy, his g/f Amila, and Tommy's buddy that i cant remember his name right now, cool dude tho) went around the corner from of the club and waited by the tour bus with some other folk, waiting for Dragonforce to come out. Which, at various times they ALL did so i met ALL the members and got ALL their signatures. Shell got a hug from ZC (the lead singer) and we just kinda sat and chatted about random shiz with the keyboardist while he ate his sammich and had a coke. So yeah, got all their sigs on my ticket and that was awesome, cuz they're all awesome dudes.
2) just went to yet another concert tonight, at the Recher Theatre in Baltimore, and saw Trivium. They had 3 kick-ass opening bands (Cellador, Protest the Hero, and The Sword) and then Trivium themselves kicked ass for their set with some new stuff from their up-coming album and some old stuff from the previous one. And then, after the show my buddy Alex and I moseyed on around back to where the tour bus was and (you guessed it) met dudes from all the bands and got them to sign stuff. We got an ass ton of signatures, but i think the coolest one of all came as a total surprise to us and probly to u too...
...Dymebag's wife, Rita, was out back by the tour bus and we met her too! Got her signature, Alex got a hug, and we stood and just kinda chilled with her for a good 10 mins or so. She's so damn awesome, and had lots of cool stories about stuff shes done with other rock stars and shiz, it was teh awesomezor.
i think thats all i got to share, but for those keeping track at home, thats 3 straight concerts for me in the past month that have 1)kicked lots of ass for the concert portion and 2)i've met like the whole band and chilled with them a bit after the show 3) gotten all of their signatures (Mastodon was the first of the 3, on Sept. 6 at Ram's Head Live in Baltimore)
catch u all later BE JEALOUS (or dont, doesnt really matter)
