I'm skipping the last @BlogHomwork assignment from @Rambo @Missy && @Lyxzen that I missed about Social Media. Because today is Thanksgiving and what more appropriate blog than the assignment that asks what I'm thankful for?
As you all know, I've done my time in prison. And I've continued my sobriety since my release. I'm over the seventeen months at this point. So simply put, I'm thankful for having my life back. I'm on control of my own life for the first time in years. And damn does it feel good.
So maybe I'm almost 27 and I sleep on my dad's couch in his basement, and maybe I don't have my own car. I'm still in the transition phase of my release from prison. But I'm 100% clean and sober for almost a year and a half, ani have a wonderful job as head cook at this fantastic local restaurant where I'm working over fifty hours every week.
Of course my kids mom is a total freaking nut and I don't get to see my daughter nearly often enough. But I'm sober and I can enjoy life again.
I could complain about many things. But who couldn't? I'm just thankful that my life is where it is right now. The path I've taken has been dark and tragic. But now, it gets better everyday.
I wish all you beautiful people from this lovely little community a very wonderful Thanksgiving. Because I am also thankful for the entire SuicideGirls culture, but I'll be addressing that one more in the Social Media assignment later.
Enjoy your holiday and family time. And #FlyEaglesFly #LetsGoPhilly
