long time no journal...

the other day i threw my back out (for those of you that know, it's hell) and had to take two days off work. my kids were super pissed/worried that i wouldn't be okay (according to my sub). i love those kids. they piss me off daily, but they are sooo coool. corny teacher moment alert.

About the parent problem, I've found the best solution to that is to not call them. I just don't like the parents so I've given them up on doctor's orders. tongue

Wow it's been forever since my last visit to SG. I've been super busy and was in Lost Wages for three days.

I didn't loose too much money and punk rock bowling was cool. maybe next year i'll remember more of it.

The heater in my classroom only works when the thermostat is set to 80-degrees. This means that we FRY to death when it's on. So I keep it off for as much of the year as possible, wearing these little fingerless mittens to teach. tongue

One of my students told me I looked like "a white Kanye West" today. I think it was because I had a blazer on. I don't really know why. So far, this year, this is the second best thing I've been called. The first was a few weeks ago, and I was called the "white shadow". I'm wondering if the kid knew of the show.
