It's officially one week since my original post. It's a fantastic day outside (read: HOT!!!), so I'll be bolting shortly to catch some sun.
I merely wanted to comment, I guess mostly to myself, on how GREAT life is when you stop 'trying', and just let it happen. Things are clicking for me in a way I had always hoped, but never thought possible.
Last year at this time, I had a big house in a quiet neighborhood, with a big yard and a nice in-ground pool. I had a job where I made a lot of money and paid for it with my soul.
The end of last year, I had enough, and decided it was time to simplify. I sold that house, bought one a third of the size - 87 years old with all the associated charm. I've had a contractor do the major work to it, but I've done a lot to it myself and have learned to do things I would never have tried before - and done them well! I'm in the best part of London now, in my humble opinion.
That job is in the past in a good way, and I'm enjoying the summer and life in general.
It's amazing the beauty you see in the world when you stop trying to hang on to it and let it embrace you. The rest is just "stuff"...
Enjoy the weekend, everyone!
