Apiary's van got broken into.
We played a show at The Baseball Tavern venue across the street from Fenway Park in Boston 2 nights ago. After we finished our set we moved our gear offstage and kicked it with some friends who live in the area. The night was nearing an end and we decided it would be the best idea to pack up our gear, then find a place to stay after last call.
Before any of us could make it out the door Mike runs up to us and says "Someone broke our window." We burst outside to see glass all around the drivers side of the van. Upon opening the side door we discovered the following missing:
1. Chris's Mac Book laptop.
2. My ipod, Makhs ipod, Dans ipod, Chris's ipod and Mikes ipod. These are only $300 a pop, but the music collections we had on those things were priceless.
3. Fernando's cd player.
4. $500 in cash from merch money. We start the next leg of our US tour with NO money and had to dip into our own pockets to make it to where we are today for our next show. Some of us are facing overdrawn bank accounts at this point.
5. A bunch of other random personal shit including Makhs cell phone, Mikes cell phone charger, a bag I had full of vitamins, first aid, hygene maintenance, soap, etc, valued close to 100 bucks.
The cops showed up and we filed a basic report. Chances are it won't do anything.
There were camerason buildings surrounding the parking lot and on the van too. With a bit of luck it will end up on one of those World's Wildest Police videos and we'll reap the benefits.
Our insurance is giving us one helluva runaround. We hear one story from one representative, one from another, all pertaining to us NOT getting reimbursed for our stuff. We are trying to fight them on it since we have both renters and theft insurance.
Thankfully we didn't lose any of our gear and the trailer wasnt fucked with.

Oh shitty. I think I'd die if I lost my ipod, or at least feel like killing someone else over it.
