I am attempting to turn my hair into dreads. As such, I haven't washed my hair in a bit over three weeks, and it seems to be working -- at least a bit. I've also found that my hair is getting thicker, which leads me to believe that I've been scrubbing too hard when washing my hair or the shampoos I've been using over the years have been doing some damage. Not washing it also seems to make it thicker, or that could just be the daily accumulation of hair dirt and whatnot that makes it feel thicker. *shrug*
Every other day or so, I put some water and gel in my hair, hoping that it'll speed up the dreading process. I'm keeping the back and sides shaven and clean, and leaving only what's on top to turn into dreads. I think it will look alright once it grows out a bit more.
Any tips from current dread-heads?
