edit Aug 19th
the fur kids are all doing fine, all three are at home healthy and eating like crazy.
pettie (the youngest of the three 8months or so) is still feeling the effects some what, loss of balance, whinnying (lots of meowing) among other things. the doctor gave me muscle relaxer to help with his tremors, but he hasn't need one yet.
the other two cats, rex and venom, well you can barely tell there was ever anything wrong with them. its so hard to believe, looking back three days, that these cats may not of made it, fast forward to know , and you cant even tell anything happened.
the next big problem is fleas.....two of the cats are long haired, and think! pettie has really bad fleas, and washing and flea bath just arnt helping, i feel really bad for him, he must be so itchy
so next friday i am taking them all back to the vet for a check up. thats when the doctor will give decide if hey are ready for spot flea meds. although i am scared to death about using that stuff again, although i have never heard a bad thing about advantage for cats or dogs..
All day long i have been beating myself up over a very stupid, very dumb, not thinking moment i pulled yesterday. that almost, or may cost all three of my cats there lives!
the fur baby's (thanks mildot for that term) are my life...i adore each one of them like i would a child. yet i risked there life, by not thinking. i applied a small amount of dog flea medication to each of them. i really dont wanna get into the details of how or why i figured it would be okay to do so. i just really wanted them to stop suffering from fleas.
This morning i awake to my guy freaking out, telling me our youngest cat Pettie cant breath and is shaking really bad (at 5:30am) after searching the net for a good hour for emergency vets that take payment, no luck..no openings no nothing...i finally found a place that was willing to take my cat in but..so i had to wait until 9am.... i held my cat pettie like it was his last day....and even though he was shaking so bad (turns out he was having slight seizure, due to a neurological reaction from the meds) even through all of this he was purring away, and trying to play with me....it broke my heart...i just wanted to dye
so off to the vet he went........then i get home (i was advised to give the other cats a good wash down) but i came home to find the other cats started having the same symptoms as the first cat....
Venom the oldest one (almost 3 years) was shaking almost as bad as pettie, but Rex (the biggest of all our cats) wasnt really shaking. but i knew he was going to need hospitalization too. so off he other two went....
Now all three cats are in the animal er, Venom and rex are together at one hospital, last i heard Rex is doing really good and his shakes are just about gone, but Venom is still suffering from the seizures.
Pettie is at a different hospital, he is improving some what (i guess hes getting Valium every hour or so to calm the shakes)
How could so stupid? what was i thinking...and why are these products so lethal to cats...i have two dogs and my cats are friendly with them..they all bath each other, so in a way it still could have happend even if i used my head.....uhhhhgggg...
please keep the fur babys in your minds and hope for the best, its about 90% that all three will make it through but as for long term damage its up in the air at the moment...
too top it all off getting a vet who is willing to see a cat on the spot, and take some sorta payment was like pulling teeth, from 5:30am untill 3pm iv been search for way or places to take payments....(pettie had to be transferred to to the severity of his condition)

on a lighter not, i saved this cute little woolly bear from the pile of stigs and branches soon to be turned into mulch...he was a cutie, and he was fuzzy...and i could go on forever.but if you have ever picked up one of these fellows you would know just how i felt... i wanna own a woolly bear farm
