.....I know there are Probably a million other members who are writing a blog about the election and the results.
but i cant help but share my feeling with all you great people.
....I am still in aw with the results. our first black president!, If we as the people can start this sort of change in the whitehouse imagin what eals can change for the best.
History has been made on this day! And i cannot help but feel i was a small part of it, This was the first time i voted. (in the last election, i just didnt care, my heart was not into it, and it just seemed like a lose lose situation)
....i will admit, i am not an expert on politics. fare from it! i just know the issues and what we cannot aford to do again.
...anyway, i am super pround of my home town....Cleveland Ohio! On sunday i went down town to early vote, and i was amazed by the turn out of people there with us. i seen so many young people, people who normally wouldnt vote. For the most part i hate being downtown in lines....but on that Sunday i felt like i was apart of some thing. i felt like i was connected with strangers i would normally never have the chance to meet and talk to.
We waited downtown in line for 4 hours, i know it sounds corny but i felt connected, while standing outside in the cold with all these strangers.
At this point all i can do is hope Obama is the man he made himself out to be! But in the end all we can do is take his word...all we can do is stay strong and hope this time will be better

I voted Obama too, and I feel the same way about having helped make history. Its pretty amazing when you think about it. I felt sure he would win and was expecting it but watching his acceptance speech I guess was when it really hit me. Hopefulyy a side affect of this will be America learning to move forward and no longer be so divided by race. It sucks you waited 4 hours. I think my wait was like 20 or 30 minutes before I got in there. But I'm glad that many people came out to vote. It was a great turn out too. As for the last election I voted for a guy I didn't really believe in. But he wasn't the other guy who I hated. A shitty election that one. This was different.
