Ever have one of those weeks where everything seems to fall into place? No, me neither. But this one has been close.
My 21st birthday was on Saturday. Thank you to everybody that wished me a happy one! I think it was, quite possibly, the best birthday ever. I started celebrating at midnight on b-day eve with a drink and debauchery, and didn't finish celebrating until 2am the following morning in much the same manner.
In between, I got my first tattoo. I think I'm addicted. Misha at Outer Limits in Costa Mesa did a fantastic job, and I'll DEFINETLY be going back to her in the future. I do have pics, but have not had the time to upload them yet. As soon as I do, you'll see them.
Much of the day was then spent setting up my junior show in the gallery, which was more fun than stressful, as I was mostly hanging stuff and working on the welcome display. Dinner was at Joe's Crab Shack. YAY CRAB! Quite possibly my favorite food ever. I ordered a margherita and they carded me. It was glorious. My friend Jason made me wear a rediculous balloon hat that I honestly think was meant to be bondage equipment for a clown. And the waitors sang the same world's-shortest-birthday-song that I learned in high school.
When we got back from dinner, Spoon gave me my gift. He really is too amazing. He drove all the way to Simi Valley to buy me Arwen's sword from my favorite store. I very nearly cried. It's so purdy!!!
And then there was the party. It had a little bit of everything, but not too much of anything. Drunkeness, debauchery, much snoggage, body shots, many of my favorite people, and a hookah lit in the back. 4 of my Simi friends even came down. There were many generous gifts given (despite my insistance that nobody needed to give me anything. :-P). And best of all, the girl I've been wanting to pounce for some time now (some of you know who I'm talking about) pounced me instead. Cornered me in the bathroom. It was glorious.
So yeah. Amazing birthday.
Which brings me to Monday's Junior Show opening. IT'S OVER! I SURVIVED! And it went really well. My work was very well recieved, we had an INCREDIBLE turnout, and I even got interviewed for the school paper about my Voting Poster that deals with the Federal Marriage Amendment. I love how left-slanted our school paper is.
After Junior Show, we went home, had pizza, and watched copious amounts of Family Guy.
It's been a good few days.
