While everyone melted downtown in the 4th day of our first heatwave ,I couldn't help to notice the hottest woman in town (well kind of) was on the cover of this Spanish Newspaper EL Especialito outside of Starbucks.
Jimena Singer? translation-so sorry cant, but I did a google search on her and well this must be her best photo then the ones I found.
The Heat wave was at least two weeks early and like always-I cant stand AC so it was F-ing hot,
took a few pics of the roses (1st & 2nd weeks of June are peak for Roses) before they fade out.
'Pauls himalayian musk rambler' pink then to white
I cant remember 100% Reine Des Violettes or Rosa Mundi,
The story of Rosa Mundi- "Rosa Mundi is believed to have been named for Rosamonde, mistress of England's King Henry II, cultivated prior to 1581. "
and this is what you get when the frost kills your graft but the plant comes back, the growth from below the union takes over -back to its wild rose form or root stock form
.
let the clover grow, walking around bare foot in clover feels so nice and the smell of all those flowers are like sugar in a way. My old departed friend the 'General' a Brindel Boxer would roll on his back and fall asleep in it.
You would hear the old dog snoring late into the night -he loved the garden in his late years.
Around 8:30-9pm these big dark deep gray clouds appeared from the west , I ran to empty the last of the rain buckets as the winds came ,looked over as my garden gate danced with lady Zepher, back and forth with the hinges holding them back from euphoria.
And I ,like some jilted lover went over and hooked the latch ending this lustful mad dance-Why couldn't Zepher dance with me to the clouds? Maybe I'm a bit out of season, she cant have my gate its only a month old and not yet painted.
ah but the woman in the pink & black corset with stockings, Jimena.
I tip my pint glass to all the ladies who are into Lingerie,
like a soon to be lost art they carry the torch of class and elegance to an otherwise naked boring world.
