A few weeks ago, @starphire took a trip to my town and invited me to go with them to Lubee Bat Conservancy. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving bats and their habitats. They do conservation, education and they even have community events like the annual bat festival!! There are currently over 160 bats and 16 species. 🦇❤️
Little did I know, it is only 2 hours from me and it was absolutely amazing! I never thought I would see fruit bats so close, let alone get to feed them!!! It was really nice to see how much they care about their animals. Easy to say, we were both so in love with all the bat friends. 😍
Starphire even got the bats to paint her a picture! My favorite bat was an Indian Flying Fox named Maharaja, and yes I photoshopped his face into our bat family pic!!
