Well I finally had all of my final interviews with all the HR people for my new gig a couple of days ago. They all went really well, its scary to listen to myself answer some of the questions like such an adult. I had three all together one with a fine arts director, one with the secondary education advisor, and one with the principal of my new school. Needless to say it was a hectic day of running around. But honestly I couldnt be happier, all the guys I will be working with are great. As soon as I got done with everything they took me out for drinks and we all just talked about the coming year. I'm way too excited to be a teacher. The school district I am working for is a great one, the pay is about three times the amount I have been living off of for the past five years. Also they hook me up with a laptop and free cell phone. So all of that just adds to my excitement. Im also excited about moving, if all goes according to plan I will be moving to the Deep Ellum area of Dallas, its only like 10 minutes away from my school. The other day I was down in that area checking out lofts and I just happened to run into the "Rev." from Reverend Horton Heat. It was pretty exciting for myself. Now I just have to make it through my last two weeks as a server, it takes all my strength not hit someone knowing that I actually have a real job now.
This upcoming week doesnt look too exciting, I will just be working towards this next year, lesson planning, looking at music, and moving into my office. Ok, I take it back, it is going to exciting.
Peace
