Well I had my first interview for a band directing gig yesterday and it actually went pretty well. It just happened to be in the smallest town I have ever stepped into. (Trust me I have been in some small towns.) This place reminded me of Mayberry from the Andy Griffith Show. It had a total of two and a half stop lights and a dairy queen. Yeah that's right, a dairy queen was the closest thing to a corporation in the entire town. Good thing is its only 45 minutes east of Austin, so if I needed a good dose of the city I could always head that way. Until yesterday I kind of dreaded the idea of moving to a small town, but now I don't think it would be so bad. It would be nice to get away from the fast moving city life, it would give me more time to work on music and just relax. I have been so damn busy with work and life lately I haven't had anytime to just relax. The past three days I have been off and I haven't got anything done around the apartment whatsoever. I had a gig in my hometown on Thursday and that and the interview pretty much dominated my days off. But last night I actually had a little bit of fun with an old friend of mine, a long time ago we used to be in a band, we got together and put together some of out old songs. Its funny to see how much we have both grown up, he now lives in the suburbs and has a wife. But overall I guess life is looking up I still have my shitty serving job which really isn't that bad it is just frustrating to be a college graduate and still be waiting tables.
Peace out.
Peace out.
