I chose this homework as my pets are a huge part of my life, I have two and they're the most spoilt pussies in the world. I thoroughly enjoy living with them, and I think it's healthy for a person to have a relationship with their pets, it teaches us responsibility and empathy.
First things first I'll introduce you to Mr Fluffles, my lilac Burmese. He cost me £800 because of his pedigree, which also made him ill, he caught cat flu from his mum, (not surprising as his dad is also his grandad, weird crazy pedigree breeders) and now he has chronic cat flu, which makes him breathe like darth vader and really sleepy, just like we would be if we had the flu. He's a happy little cat though, and I love him to pieces, he's the party animal of the house (whenever somebody comes to visit he has to be the centre of attention) he might not live as long as some other cats, but I'm determined to make his life as happy and contented as possible for the time he has left. Who needs a dog when you have a Burmese? He sleeps under the duvet with you, and he greets you at the door like an excited puppy. He cuddles like a person, he wraps his paws around you and lifts himself up for a squeeze. His favourite things are burying his water bowl while its full of water, playing with his favourite pair of my socks (and my bras, he drags them around like he's killed it) he enjoys sitting on the top of the doors in the house spying on people, and trying to escape from the house.
His little companion, and my namesake is Aurorer, she's a beautiful, fluffy, white Maine coon cross. She's timid around new people, but when she gets to know you she comes out of her shell. She's really smart, she's learned how to open doors to let fluffles out, she hunts spiders by talking to them (cute little meiows like she's saying she won't hurt them and it's ok to come out), she shuts herself in drawers and cupboards to get some easy attention, and she beats up Mr fluffles on a regular basis because he's just not fast enough to stop her he he.
So those are the two animals in my life, I'm lucky to live with some beautiful cats, I couldn't ask for better. Animals definitely change you as people, they teach you important life lessons like not worrying, living life to the fullest, and unconditional love. I guess I'm lucky though as most cats don't mind where they live as long as there's free food ;) my beautiful two put a smile on my face at least once a day. Im very lucky to have them.
Hope you enjoyed reading more of my ramblings, please let me know what you think xx
