K, so I wrote half my paper and I told myself if I got half way, I could do more fun things, like update the journal and well....sleep.
So let's see what's up for this week, shall we? Tomorrow and Thursday, class and class...yay. I'm going to go home, yet again, to visit the parents on Thursday and go with Oliver to the vet.
I'm kind of excited about this weekend. Firstly, because my family is trying to adopt a dog so that my Oliver has a girlfriend, so we just sent in photos of the yard and the house to the Border Collie Rescue people. Now we're just waiting to hear back. This is my Oliver:
And this is the girlfriend we want to get him:
Isn't she so cute!!!! I want to name her Audrey. Oliver and Audrey! They'd make such a cute couple!!!
I hope we get her. If we do, I think we have to drive to southern Illinois to pick her up though, so that will kind of suck.
Thursday, I also hope to run to a couple of Tattoo shops and get a price estimate and make an appointment to get my next tattoo (I hope this weekend, but we'll see). I've suckered my mom into paying for it by saying that if she doesn't I will get it done in Europe and it will be all messed up (like the last time). So she's like "OK!" hehe. I want to get the phrase:
En Vrit, Nous Sommes Tout Seuls
Because I have just completed my French major this year (still working on the Diplomacy and Foreign Affairs major though), and I'm just obsessed with french culture in general. It means "In truth, we are all alone." I know, how emo of me. I was trying to decide between that phrase or the phrase of revelation in Jean-Paul Sartre's play "Huis Clos," which says "L'enfer c'est les autres." Which translates as "Hell is other people." I may still get that some day, since truer (is that even a word?) words have never been spoken. So I want to get my tattoo in some kind of script font across my shoulder blades, but below my neck (I'm trying to leave room for these wings I'm designing), with a few stars of different sizes around the phrase.
And finally, my real life friend Twigs has convinced me after years to get my nipples pierced. I figured if I can handle getting 5 tattoos, and three piercings, then I should be able to handle the nipples, right? RIGHT? I hope so........
k, that's all for now.

Huis clos is one of my favourite plays. And anything by Ionesco. And give me some Alain Robbe-Grillet any day!
